no it doesn't and it'll never do (chipset is not compatible)

btw a good machine, it's the only receiver able to blind scan dvb-s2 signal

Hi,

Thanks for your last replay.
Do you know if Vantage HD8000 support MGCAMD emu ?
Also, which model in the market support 4:2:2 (only MPEG2) ?

Thanks,
Nachmany

as far as I know it doesn't (guess it's only suitable for Linux based receivers, that Vantage is not)

QualiTV receiver is the only one, but it's not suitable for dvb-s2 signal so not much use actually

or you can stream the 4:2:2 video from a Linux based receiver to your pc and view it with VLC Media Player or similar

or you have to pick up professional, very expensive, receivers such as Tandberg or Atlanta Scientific

the real cheap way to get dvb-s2 / mpeg2-4 / HDTV / blind scan / 4:2:2 is a pc tv card

There is a new Linux darkbox 9000 coming out that it is claimed will support 4:2:2 and can, as an alternative have a sharp tuner fitted for blind search. We will have to wait & see if the claims come to anything

It's not out yet, but I would check to make sure the claim is justified before investing so, not one to rush into.
