Vantage HD7100ts - ethernet

I just got one of these and wondered what I can do with the ethernet connection? The manual only gives the example of connecting two 7100's together, are there other things you can do.....cardshare perhaps?

Also, have a problem with channels since updating to software 2.49T using USALS, firstly after doing a full auto scan the 7100 would not go to, or pick up a signal from Turksat (it had 20mins earlier with previous software) or Atlantic bird 3. I had to set it manually but it still wouldn't get a signal to the channels.

I did a factory reset and tried again, same result except I had problems with Intelsat at 1w in that in only downloaded about 12 channels for that bird.

Cardshare is not possible with Vantage.

Before uploading new firmware copy your setting onto pendrive and after uploading do factory reset and then recover setting from pendrive
