My System: Gibertini 1M XP Premium - Inverto Black Ultra .2db LNB - Technomate 2200 motor - Vantage 7100 HD. 57E - 22W - 60cm solid oval dish fixed on 28.2 - Humax Freesat HD - Sony Bravia LCD - Sony BluRay and Sony Home Cinema |
Hi, I've just read the sticky about software and channel lists. Is it possible to upload a channel list from the stb via usb key, edit it on computer with their software tool and then transfer the amended list to the stb? I only ask as I'm finding it a real pain to try and delete the scrambled channels. It's not an easy reciever to 'interface' with. The manual is at best confusing and the box crashes from time to time Not a very happy bunny! Pete

Have you put the latest s/w in rec? . Receiver should not keep crashing when deleting. Have you tried editing by pressing ok then press options button? To stop the crashing do a factory reset but before save channel list, system setup, Key data, onto usb stick. Let us know how you get on.

I've also downloaded latest software and will try to update the receiver as soon as I locate the downloaded file on the laptop!!! I don't think I explained the 'locking up' very well. It doesn't happen when trying to delete channels. Just sometimes after scanning a sat it says 'moving motor' and then locks. Coming from a Manhattan, I have to say the menus and user interface aren't as easy to navigate as the Manhattan was. For instance I can't see an option to delete all scrambled channels or radio stations unless you go through them individually. I am however mastering the Vantage and find it's black finish and blue neon display very appealing. I'll give you an progress report in due course. Pete

Dont forget to do a factory Reset after loading new s/w 02520.1 with emu.

It's after 11pm here so a bit late to be trying things out, especially whilst trying to chat online to stepdaughter in UK!! Will try again tomorrow if I have time and check on the version of software I downloaded from the Vantage site. Do you not recommend OTA updates? Which sat are these available from? Pete

What does it do exactly? Pete

Is there another source for software? Or I can search myself. I won't try and load anything just yet though. Pete

My System: Nanoxx 9500 HD, Vantage 7100S, Octagon 918HD, Interstar 890 | Emus you can find on different uploads. Come with 01 and 02 numbers at the end of software file ( recent ones are 125501 and 025502)
