France 5 on TPS problem

I have an official tps card with a tps Star subscription. I am using a Dreambox 7000 with an SCM Viaccess 2 (red) CAM. I can get all the tps channels with the exception of France 5. I get a message saying intialising CAM which then recycles trying to initialise but does nothing. For channels that I am not entitled to see I get a message saying not authorised etc. For non VIAccess encrypted channels I get a can't descramble message.

The version of the Viaccess CAM is V1.07.004 which according to the SCMmicro website is the latest. What is wrong?

Any suggestions?

Here is my suggestion: Remove the CAM and your card and put them somewhere safe . Then update your Dreambox with some soft that contains valid keys and you can watch your cool France 5 for free along with other channels from other providers. Otherwise there wouldn't be much point in owning a Dreambox.

I wanted reliability of service and I gather that using a software CAM with codes there will be periods after a code change where the service will be unavailable until the new codes are made available.
There are other reasons for owning a dreambox not least of which is the networking capability and its flexibility.

The networking capability is there mainly for software and KEYS update via the Internet. There are lots of different settings on your receiver and one of them is allowing you to enable or disable CAM. In your case you have to enable it. I would still recomend you to use other then the original software which was already in the Dreambox when you purchased it.
And about the code change..last time it was a few days ago at about 2 pm. At 9 pm I already had the new working key. Despite that, TPS and Multivision are quite a poor movie channels and your Dreambox is capable of openning much better channels.
But,whatever floats your boat m8.

I have now installed Hydra Angharat and can now see all the programs I want. I would like to have discovered the reason why France 5 didn't work when France 2 and 3 on the same transponder work but that is history now. Thanks for the help.
