Talking Dish Installation

Hello everybody
Somebody bought a Satellite Dish and a Satellite Receiver at our store here in Uganda it was goin' in 7:00pm it was almost atnight me and my friend we couldn't go to hi place to install the all staff we told him that we will come on Sunday because it was Thursday and we were Busy, the guy came on Saturday and told us that he has finished Installing the all staff and he doesn't see the Signal we asked him that how did you do that he said that he had little Idea about it and he always come at our place and coped some ideas and went back and install anhd the we also thought that the signal at his home might be very difficult cause the guy seemed to have some idea about Satellites,so when it reached Sunday and we went at his place looked everywhere we never saw the Dish and we asked him were is it he said come his house was a flat we said my be its Up the guy took us in his Garrage where he puts his Car and its the place where he has installed the Dish and he claimed that he lost the Signal.
We asked him have you ever seen someone in our place who has a Dish inside his house,he said for him he wants his Inside the House,we said guy pretended to be a pro but his crazy inside. .

thanks...

My System: Sky UK family pack. FTA analogue & digital satellite from 5 fixed dishes (4.6E/5E/13E/16E/19E/23E/28E) Pace MSS100, Echostar IP3000VA (with dragon cam), Coship CDVB 2300A, Fortecstar Lifetime Ultra, Technomate TM-1000D, Dreambox 7020S, 2250kb

The last noble sat warrior to fly the olden flag of Analogue

Its perfectly possible to have a dish inside the house BUT you either have to have a window that looks in the right direction for your desired satellite, with a bigger dish than normal to counterract the signal absorbtion from the glass, or you replace some roof tiles with special polycarbonate ones that dont absorb satellite frequencies.

Remember that Kampala is on the equator and therefore some satellites would be directly overhead.

So you could have a dish pointing straight up through the chimney.
