My System: Plaza receiver orbital dish on motorised bracket
Totally new, need idiot proof help with diablo cam

Hello, I am brand new to this, I have bought myself a motorised system, to watch Italian and French TV and thought while I was at it would get myself a diablo cam for the footy.
Can anybody help me with what I need to do as I`m getting a little lost and could do with being pointed in the right direction(well getting all the help I can actually !)
Thanks

Welcome to our hobby and you are about to have a lot of viewing options.

Please do not post the same question in different forums as this leads to some confusion.
I have deleted your other thread.

The first thing you have to do is download the Cas Studio software, for your Cas programmer, at least I hope you have a Cas programmer as that is required to program your Diablo Cam, you can find it here:

_http://www.duolabs.com/casstudio.html

Do not connect your Cas programmer until after you have installed the drivers, it makes it easier for your computer to install them.

Once they are installed connect your Cas programmer to your computer using just the USB cable, this is all you require.

Next you need to download the latest Underworld file, this is currently underworld 136, just type underworld136 into any search engine and you should find it, or look in our forums Links Section.

Once downloaded, and uncompressed, you might need winzip, or winrar, to uncompress it or you can use the free 7-zip software, copy underworld136.dup to your computer desktop, as it makes it easier to find for programming.

Programming the Diablo is quite easy:

Insert your Cam carefully into the Cas programmer.
Start up the CIS 8.5c software, you should have a shortcut icon on your desktop.
Click on the Cam Module tab, and the 2 Diablo Cam icons, this starts up the Diablo software.
It should automatically be set to the Upgrade Cam tab.
Click on the little icon, with 3 dots, at the end of the File Name: address bar.
Navigate to your desktop, underworld136.dup and click open.
A green light should now appear on the Start Update icon, click this and wait for the Cam to finish programming.

Once complete click the yellow Exit icon, this will bring you back to CIS 8.5c.
You now need to adjust the configuration settings.
Click on the Utilities tab, and the Common Interface Host icon.
You should now see underworld 136 displayed, click enter.
Enter the Configuration folder and change the following:
Emulators to ON.
N2 AU to ON.
Emulators priority to 1 Emu 2 Card.
Once complete exit the software and remove your Cam.

With your Cam programmed you can currently open the following main packages:
Premiere 19E
DigitAlb 16E, except the HD channels.
Polsat 13E
Digi TV 1W
Canal Digital 1W.

For full details of allt the channels available, on these packages, copy and paste these links into your browser, minus the underscore _

_http://www.lyngsat.com/packages/premiere.html
_http://www.lyngsat.com/packages/digitalb.html
_http://www.lyngsat.com/packages/polsat.html
_http://www.lyngsat.com/packages/canaldigital.html
_http://www.lyngsat.com/packages/digi.html

That should provide you with plenty of viewing options for live football, films and general entertainment.
If you have any problems please post back.

My System: Plaza receiver orbital dish on motorised bracket
Thanks

Hi, yes I have got a cas3 interface.
Thanks for the info, I was a bit overwhelmed, although I won`t be
fitting the dish and everything else for at least a month, while I wait
for my house to be finished, I will look into everything and sort it all out ready for immediate take off !
Thanks again, sorry for posting two threads, was just after maximum exposure, and I `m sure I will be in touch with you again.

My System: Plaza receiver orbital dish on motorised bracket

Hello again
It has been longer than I expected to post again but my house took longer than expected, and I have also got married inbetween, so I am now ready to install my system, just in time for the new season !
I have bought a satellite finding kit off Ebay, basically a compass, signal meter and power pack.
Anybody got any information/help/pointers to installing the system from scratch, also are the instructions that Mickha gave me still valid ?
Thanks

First give the compass to the nearest cub/brownie/boy scout as it it useless for setting up a system as the components are made of metal

second of the list given

Premiere 19E
DigitAlb 16E, except the HD channels.
Polsat 13E
Digi TV 1W
Canal Digital 1W.
All is now secure apart from Digi TV 1W

can you see the smoke rising from the funnels of the boat that has already sailed by?

My System: Skymaster DCI9900 + PC/twinhan combination. 80cm dish. GBPVR with 2 DTTV cards +hauppauge Media MVP

I think he is attempting on a humorous manner to tell you that you have missed the boat. While there was a lot of scope for watching encrypted channels 'free' when you started this thread, all but DigiTV on 1 West are now secure and even they are in the middle of becoming secure. I.e. Nothing but the free to air stuff to watch at the moment unless you subscribe to one or other package.
