Diablo 2.3 and Humax 5400 problem

Hi guys,

I have a Humax 5400 patched with the latest HOT emu loaded. I purchased a Diablo 2.3 which I programmed with Underword 1.46 using a CAS3 programmer. With the CAM inserted the Humax comes up with 'Initialising CI module' and freezes most of the time. Other times it clears the channel but I cant change channel after that, it sounds like it freezes again... I tried the Cam it both slots with the same results

I would appreciate any help.

I think you'll find the diablo work's fine if you turn your patch off m8..

is this a orginal diablo rev 2.3.or a older 2.2 rev.where you have upgraded online,to rev 2.3?

i have do this with mine,and since that,on some stbs like my xtreme hornet,the signal already is good ,but the pircutre on 1 west are full of artefacts,like on low signal,seems to be,that the compatibly to difrent stbs,is much lower,on rev 2.3 then on old rev 2.2!

Well i'm using a 2.2 upgraded to a 2.3 in a topfield tf7710 and a technomate.. at the moment using Underworld 146 but will be upgrading to 147 [now it's out].. working fine using no patches..

Well, I tried it with no patches, I downloaded the original Humax firmware, still the same result. It seems that the Humax freezes at the 'Initialising CI module'. Unfortunately I havent got another receiver/CAM to try. I am wondering if my Humax has a problem

So you've turned your patch off gone to humax confiuration set cas to 123456..
loaded diablo cam with underworld 1,46 gone into common interface menu gone into underworld 1.46 menu goneto cas and turned every thing off
conax
seca
ideto
viacess
cryptoworks
also dreamcrypt and nagravision
then went to configuration and set at,
language english
cairds file [cairds]
auto pmt [on]
emulators [on]
n2 au [on]
emulators priority 1 [cards-2 emu]
fixed cw [off]
smartcard message [show never]..
and it still didn't.work?..strange !!..

Hello Terry,

thank you again for all your help. The settings that you suggest is exactly what I have! I noticed that if I stay on an FTA channel the Humax doesnt freeze, if I go to an encrypted one the CAM initiliases and clears the channel. The problem is that after few seconds maybe even a minute, while the channel stays clear and everything seems fine, I still cant change channel or do any other operation on the Humax. Strange...
