My System: Humax HDCI-2000 19.2°E + 28.2°E
Dragon CAM on 19.2E

I have a Dragon CAM not currently being used for anything (now that it won't decode the FTV channels on 28.2E - thanks Sky (!)). I also have access to 19.2E so is there anything on there I can watch using it? I don't have any means to update the software for the CAM if it is out of date or needs updating but I just thought I would ask on here to see if it was worth trying to get it set up to watch something other than the free BBC/ITV channels. The last time it was used it was for the Premiere channels at the start of the year but they have all gone now. I have a loader card with the CAM but I couldn't tell you what software version is on them, I think it's 3.something, I'm sure there have been plenty of updates since I got mine.

I had a feeling there wasn't. I hope something can be sorted soon so I can get back the FTV channels at least on 28.2E.

My System: echostar ad3000IP dragon cam predator cam

The old Sky card was working fine with dragon cam- the new one nolonger does. Can anyone tell me if there is another cam that may offer this service. It is a pain to have to carry your receiver to wherever you want to go.

Dont think there is one at the moment. Linux boxes have been updated to work with it, but cams dont seem to.

My System: Dreambox 7020si, Technomate TM600, Technomate TM9100 Fracarro Penta 85 Dish, Televes 0.6dB Quad lnb, TM SG2200 motor. 60cm Channel Master BSB dish on 28e, Mti Blueline 0.2db Twin Lnb. Rover ST-4 Meter Cyfra+ Subscription

The best your going get at reasonable cost is a clone DM500 which will allow you to open the free to view stuff on 28.2e, providing you buy a new FTA card from Sky

Do not pay more than £50 for a clone DM500

Hmmm, I may leave it then. I have a single feed on 28.2E and 19.2E and have them through a Diseqc in my Humax HDCI2000. Handy for watching the free UK stuff and selected programing that's broadcast free in Germany. Hopefully something gets sorted for the Dragon CAMs so I can get some channels back, but if not, no biggie, I have them on Freeview, just takes a bit of fiddling to get the set-up changed over. Might even consider getting a combined DSAT/DTT receiver but want to wait until the HD broadcasts start on Freeview and the ROI launch their MPEG4 service so I will be future-proofed for both services, and if it has PVR functionality then all the better - I could then finally reduce the clutter I have under my TV!

I have a spare Sky+ STB since we upgraded to Sky HD so I could use that, but I would be much more interested to find if someone has got their Dragon working with the FTV card. Hopefully whoever that is working on a software patch is successful in his work. That, or Sky3, FIVEr and FIVE USA all go FTA sometime soon! [Not gonna happen I know, but you never know... stranger things have happened!]
