My System: Technomate 1500CI+
Question Which CAM / Card is good for experimentation??

Hi there,

i am a newbie and have spent sometime on diff forums to see whats experiments i can do with my recently aquired Technomate 1500 ci+.

i am planning to put 2 lnbs using a multibracket (to get 13 E & 28.2 E) and using a diseqc switch (this sounded a bit economical to me rather than a motorised dish)

my query is that is there any cam / card that can give me some extra channels (am mainly looking for movies / Nat Geo / Discovery / history etc in english or with English subtitles).

secondly though it sound stupid but if the cams are not able to open any extra channels then why are they still in the mkt and are costly too??

My System: Triax 1.1m and Orbital 80cm Motorised Dishes. Various fixed Dishes. Eclectic selection of Digital and Analogue Receivers. Complex switching and distribution that SWMBO cannot fathom. Nor me.

Presumably to minimise loss on stocks and to cater for pukka Cards?

You would be wiser to get a motor, or for the time being stick your dish on 1 West for Digi TV.
If you patch your Technomate you will open the same channels as any Cam currently on the market.

You need to check the Dreambox section as this kind of problem requires advice from other Dreambox 500s owners.
Check out the Dreambox FAQ's:

And the Dreambox 500s section:
