Hi stuzeeuk,
you've just purchased an excellent Cam, and I'm sure we can help with any questions you have.
First off what card programmer and loaderr card have you got or have you got a Cas 3?
The T-Rex supermodule latest file is Predasaur 206 which includes the latest update for premiere.
Please post back with more information regarding your eequipment and I'll post a guide for you.
Best wishes

Hi Micka,

Well....

I bought it from some guy on Ebay .... who says he forgot to include the Cas3programmer, when he posted.

Says he will send it out today (might take a week or two as he is in Germany and all my mail goes via the UK).

Anyway when it arrives I will be using the CAS 3 programmer. Might be worth doing some reading now till it arrives.

Grateful for any sites/info. Does the CAS 3 programmer come with software for transfering files ? I have a powersky and use Arioner. I take it there is a similar type software for transferring files ?

Hi stuzeeuk,
the Cas 3 is a duolabs product, and requires the latest drivers to program the Dragon Cam, you can download these from duolabs.com, click on download and Cas 3 download.
I will post some instructions when you get your programmer, as I need to know if you are planning to use a loader card or just the Cas 3.
You can still update the available keys, including D+, via the debug option in the Cam menu.
D+ is located in OhlAladin.
Best wishes

Hi eddik,
there are no new files for the T-Rex 4.6, at the moment, even Premiere is down, there are rumours that the Dragon Team are releasing a file this weekend, but as of yet this hasn't materialised,
At the moment the Diablo Cam is better value, and is made to be programmed by your Cas 3.
Although I haven't got a Cas 3 programmer, programming a Cam sems straight forward, including the T-Rex Super Module, start up the software, insert the cam, and click on Cam Module tab, Other Cams, and T-Rex Supermodule, then follow the instructions.
Once the Cam is updated with the latest Predasaur file, put it back in your receiver, go into the menu, using your receivers remote control, and select security update, and any new non public channels will then work.
If at any time you experience any problems please post back and I will try and find a full guide for you.
Also check back on the Forum later today and tomorrow, as if the Dragon Team do release a new file I, or someone else, will post details in this forum.
Best wishes
Mickha

Yes, you can, but ART are losing the rights to Premiership football soon, next year, so it might be wise to just go for a 6 month card, unless you like their other programming.

Hi Mickha,

Thanks for this, ive already got the card till Sept next year. I have it mostly for the Scottish Football which they have till at least 08 I believe.

Ive managed download the latest Predasuar (208 at the time of writing) software for my cam, and then done the security update.

Is there anything I can open on Hotbird at the moment ? or is it just premiere on Astra ?

also is there any prospect of getting TPS back ? I used to be able to open this with my powersky, but like most, I lost it when they changed the software some months ago. BBC Prime would be useful if thats available ?

Hi stuzeeuk,
you can get SRG (Swiss) package, Jetix and E Europe, and also Fox TV, if you have added the biss information.
At present people are having to update their receivers. those that are getting TPS, everyday, to get half a days viewing, which is impractical for the Dragon/T-Rex Cam.

There are a lot of Predator files with added biss channels, but you can alter channels and keys using CAID_SHA_Fix, which I've uploaded onto the forum in the editors-utilities-miscellaneous-downloads section:
CAID_SHA_Fix
There are 4 main components required to add these channels, the CAID, SID, VPID and of course the key.
You can get a list of the channels CAID's on the net. Adding the SID and VPID are very easy as these are the channels SID and VPID, and can be found on kingofsat.net, lyngsat.com or in the channel ident on your receiver.
I'll give you an example for adding Fox Sports:
Run CAID_SHA_Fix, load the Predator/Predasaur file you wish to modify, then in the bottom pane click on 1 of the channels that you don't use, like Rus2 42,
In the name box, highlight Rus2 42, and type in Fox Sports, and click Set.
Now alter the CAID, SID and VPID to match Fox Sports.
The CAID is the same, 2600, so you can leave that.
The SID for Fox Sports is 1, but that value is in decimal and needs to be altered into Hex format, you can do this quickly with Windows Calculator. Start, Accessories, Calculator, click on View and click scientific.
Click on Dec and type in 1, click Hex and you will get the same value 1, to input this into a field it needs to be 4 figures so you add three zeros making it 0001, this now goes in SID.
The VPID for Fox Sports is 308, click back on Dec and enter 308, click on Hex and you get 134, add a zero to the beginning and you get 0134, enter this into VPID, now enter the key, which can be found in the key section, and click Set.
You can't have Fox Sports and TV8 working in the same file as they have exactly the same CAID, SID and VPID values, so you can either have one or the other, this is rare but can happen.
Once the file is complete click on Save File (Dra), and save the New_Dragon file, you can rename it to anything you want, and load it the same as any other Predator file.

There was only Chelsea on TV It looks like it's only the biss channels we'll get to add, to the older Dragon Cam's, in future, apart from the occasional public goody, like D+.
TPS don't seem to want us viewing and although there have been many rumours nothing else has been opened yet, let's hope for a good 2007.

D+ is the Digital + package on Astra 1 19.2E, but it is not currently open, so the keys are probably old ones, when it is available it is only for a few hours.

No there is English language available on most of the film channels, for Premiere, it is German 2 in the audio option, but not for channels like sci fi, classic movies etc.

There are also the portal channels, extra films and sport, a lot of which carry the English soundtrack, including the English Premier League games, and the Champion League games featuring English teams.

Hi eddik,
first make sure you have the latest Cas 3 drivers from Duolabs, the FUN7LDR is just for Fun Card 7 and not required using a Cas 3.
instructions courtesy of spider:
connect one end of 20pin ribbon cable to cas3
and the other end to dummy card.
insert Dragoncam into pcmcia slot of cas3
and insert dummy card into dragoncam slot (contacts facing up)
insert usb cable, and start cis software.
click cam module, then other cams, then T-Rex Super
click file name [...] and navigate to required *.dra
a new window opens...(common interface host)
select Dragonload. then click the Enter Selected button
select "Yes, Load Module", then Enter Selected button.
T=Rex cam will now be loaded with selected file.
a progress monitor will be shown in dragoncam loader window.
wait for loader successful, then remove cam.
Best wishes
Mickha
