Eurosat I believe have the repair agreement for the UK on the Echostar range.

Looks like a monopoly situation means that wherever you send it, it will eventually end up in Cricklewood.

Most common problem with these is the flash memory and corruption of the firmware

Memory corruption. Tried manualy inputing the details and that worked until I turned off the box.

Have you tried downloading the latest FirmWare from their web site ?

Yes, doesn't work. Actually downloading the newest version of the software was when the problems started.

Brought the thing off Ebay. Could probably buy another one for about the same price as to have it fixed.

There are sometimes two stages to an upgrade of Echostar receivers.

Elsewhere in this forum are suggestions (Cor was a participator) on which version to put in the receiver first, I think version 400 was tge stepping stone.This process cannot be bypassed.
