I've been told that its possible to have 1 dish with 6+ LNB's on. Am in the UK so the signal strenght isn't an issue. Can you direct me to the right places for this setup? Thanks

Which satellites are you intending to pull in?

Basically I want: 5,13,19.2,28.2,39. I could ignore 39 if that would save me from a lot of trouble. My dish is triax 110. big enough?

A Raven Gemini 90cm with both East and West offset brackets would do those satellites easily, if you were prepared to forget about 39E.

yup. much easier to have only 4 satellites. you can use a diseqc switch with 4 of them.

I've found a triax multifeed which takes 4 lnbs but i can only do 20 degrees when I need 23 5-28. Is there any universal that would do the job? A friend of mine in east UK has full signal on viasat(sirius) with 80cm dish. Is my dish big enough for sirius? Am in london

You have to remember that dishes work best with the lnb very close to the main axis of the lnb arm. Off axis lnb's decrease the signal strength rapidly. Theres no point you trying for something like 5E and expecting all the weaker tp's to appear at full strength if the lnb is 15-20 degrees off axis..... If you want a huge range of sat signals on one dish then invest in a dish designed for the job - like that Wave Frontier mentioned up the thread.

I'd say go for the wavefrontier toroidal. I was going to get one, but I need something bigger. I talked to the guy from satlex who had one, and he told me the antenna was great at pulling many satellites with very good quality. he only traded it because of the size (90cm).

there is another one called Vantage MB85 that can handle up to 40º (may not be as good as the wavefrontier, but don't really know about it). It is cheaper, as the wave frontier can cost from €150 to €250.

cheers

I live in Surrey and have a 90cm Toroidal with 8 LNBs ranging from 5w to 28.2e and I get a very good signal from all the transponders. I centre on 13 allowing me to find the outside satellites.

The dish is an absolute bu**er to set up, it took me about 3 weekends to get the signals to a level where I could get the channels, and a few more tinkering with the settings to fine tune, but the results are good.

The support at Toroidal are also good and helped with a few questions that I sent over email.

Good luck!

you can take many satellites in with the wavefrontier.
I pulled this out of satlex. it has 14!!! lnb's and 18!!! satellite positions. as I said before, the guy who owned it said it is a really good antenna if you don't need bigger. I really wanted to buy one of these but not big enough (dish surface). does anyone know of a bigger (at least 1.1m) toroidal antenna?

I cant really afford buying a new dish. I thought of puttin 2 lnbs and keep my diseq 1.2 motor in place. Would that be trouble free? I got many people watching from 1 sat dish so i cant really play with the satellites, at least i would prefer 13 and 19.2 from one position.
