12597 V transponder at 13 East vanished

The transponder carrying ORT and Euronews among others has vanished from the 13East slot in the past 15 minutes, confirmed here and in Rhodes.

Was there a scheduled change of channels to another transponder I didn't know about ?

Those sites rely to a large extent upon observer reports and generally (eventually) report what has happened, rather than what is about to happen.

No Euronews, but I do get JSTV 1 & 2 plus RT Doc and 1TVRUS

Edit: Spot of trimming and Euronews is just barely on the cusp. As are CNN and BBC Arabic.

No Euronews, but I do get JSTV 1 & 2 plus RT Doc and 1TVRUS

Edit: Spot of trimming and Euronews is just barely on the cusp. As are CNN and BBC Arabic.

euronews is working fine over here full signal over here maybe its just the weather

Clear skies here, must be over the uplink. Eutelsat have bags in reserve though for poor weather.

Being jammed by the Iranians? Wouldnt be the first time they have interfered with a Eutelsat signal

This is a regular occurrence I find at least 2 or 3 each week then they fire up again,
What has caught me out this week was no signals at all on my 88cm dish then I discovered that a pigeon has taken a liken to landing on the Lnb arm

Are you catching it on a horizontal polarity ? 114xx possibly ?

Ah, but I cross referenced it with a man (with a dish) in Greece. So the dish here is not at fault.

Or it is a bloody large pigeon.

I think it is not because of the weather conditions but some kind of technical issue on the uplink or satellite itself. Surely it is not a problem at the user's site. So. do not panic, it will comeback. ATM, yes, signal is very low.
