yes I know I'd be better off with an 80cm dish, but just for starters:

I've successfully bodged together two lnbs, with the dish pointing at 13E and an lnb on the side for 19.2E, I didn't experiment much whether I could get all transponders or not... my question is: in general are the transponders stronger off 19.2E or 13E, thus should I carry on with my plan dish at 13E and sidearm on 19.2E OR would dish at 19.2E and sidearm on 13E be a better option, OR dish at 16E (although I didn't get a dickie bird on 60cm from 16E when I was playing) and two 3Deg offsets at 13&19.2E. Yes I know a monoblock with an 80cm dish would do it all, but I'm just playing with what I've got for the moment. (FYI: I'm down on the south-coast of UK)

cheers

19E are a little stronger, so put your prime focus on 13E. Good luck with the experimenting - thats half the fun of sat reception :)

If you are experimenting with 16E, try the Georgian transponder - the one with the sr 30000. Thats a nice strong one. If you have a digital camera, put a pic up of the bodged mount for us :D

LOL, I think that you are the innovator here. Haven't seen too many monoblocks make by DUCTAPEUK.

Play, document and report - just in case anybody else is as nuts as you! :)

I did a while ago:

The next version is going to be the more elegant/permanent version. I plan to extend the bolts out of the LNB holder to hold another holder next to it. Will take some pics when its done.
