Which may simply mean nobody else has found and reported the transmission >> Those sites are (very) informative, but not authoritative as they rely upon (sometimes uncorroborated) input from all of us (some far more than most).

Also, a scan will not always report either the exact same frequency and symbol rate when repeated, nor will scans necessarily report a perfect match with any listed data (Where it exists).

So, an SR of 3743 is the same as one of 3744 in the context of what you are doing, and a frequency of 11517 is the same as 11518 too.

You are almost certainly picking up the exact same 15W transmission at strengths and quality that depend upon how far your dish is displaced from 15W. You detect something apparently from 16.2W and 18W respectively entirely because of the beamwidth of your dish. A bigger dish will not be so prone to this as the beamwidth decreases with size.

All you've done is pick up a hitherto unlisted (on the sites you referred to) transmission and led yourself up the garden path and the confusion is of your own (well-intentioned!) making.

I do hope that I am not boring you. :)
Not at all. This is hobby and allways interesting to talk about it :)

But, that 11518H has been there (15w) every now and then "allways". 11531H "main" channel and 11518H, 11522H and11525 for feed use or something.

As for the DAD Transmissions, I last scanned 15W a couple of days ago and got DAD 4 with the parameters you reported, with DAD 5 up at 11529. Neither are there now, and I shall rescan to see where they've shifted.

But that's the point - they are ephemeral, which is another factor in "what is going on".

DAD 4 11521 H 3743
DAD 5 11529 H 3197

And if I recall correctly, these Feeds are used for the benefit (ultimately) of US Troops in Iraq (DAD being related to BaghDAD) and are relays of stuff like NBC.

Maybe ponti doesnt believe my proof = my memory :-rofl2

And thats why You can check from another place (difficult to watch from my memory :) ) and please, here You are ->
http://www.ir55.satbeams.com/channels

These freqs make difficulties for most of recievers to show "right" frequency and thats why some show 11517 and another 11518 from same transponder. Also many times difficulties with freqs near to each others. Another exercise from C-band 10E 3838R/3839R/3841R. My TM gives me different channel every time I use these memory locations.

I suspect we've all come across things in the hobby that seem at first sight to be anomalous - that's part of the fun!
