Suspect this post will get a few views, got a advertising Email from World of Satellite offering viewing cards for mature content channels. I have a TM 5400+ci usb (with embedded Conax what ever that is) the problem is i am not too sure what i need to make it work if a purchase one (viaccess) or if its some kind of rip off, as their is a lot of disclaimer text when you purchase from them, i.e..if the channel goes bust or if it is not the right type of card for your equipment ect...there is no re-fund.
Don't really want to go too much into details as i don't want to advertise for particular businesses. but a bit of advice would be helpful

Many thanks

You would need a card and a cam to put the card into. (The card goes into the cam of course) WOS will be able to advise exactly what you want - it depends on the service you are interested in.

With the mature content channels you pay your money and you take your chances - services come and go every year. In fact one new service packed up just a few months ago as they obviously werent making any money.

There are patches available for that receiver to install a multicam which should allow it to take a Viaccess card, but if in doubt, get yourself a Viaccess CAM to put the card in.

Regarding the disclaimers, they are pretty common, adult channels seem to suffer more than others of disappearing without trace.

EDIT. Damnation, beaten to it again.:)

Thanks chaps for the quick replies, these CAMs arnt exactly cheap if your on a budget, UK plc rip off, inflation is 5% yeah right, sorry going off on one again.

Not too sure who WOS is? anyways got the idea now, purchase a CAM, then buy the card, put the card in the CAM then put the CAM in the machine and tune into 13e Humping

Or, patch the receiver, buy the card and if it doesn't work in the card slot, then buy the CAM.:)
