Crazy now 82% Q @ 28.6 east & 51% Q @ 28.2 east.
Definitely on E28A in my opinion :)

Heh, 84% on the 60cm and 75% on the Sky dish.

Maybe they fixed the fuse.

Rock solid 76% here. The SR 22000 suggests that on an Astra craft to me. Eute 28A is a fair bit weaker in the rain - (~60% atm)

The dB value is now pretty much in line with the other 28A transponders between 11.2 and 11.45 GHz.

I don't believe in any Astra satellite involved here. The 3 MHz offset from the Astra grid is too big.

Eutelsat 28A however uses wide 72 MHz transponders. The one that could be in use here is centered on 11575 MHz.
For example between 11.2 and 11.45, two "virtual" transponders of symbolrate 27500 are fitted into one "real" 72 MHz transponder.

So probably soon, another 2F transponder above 12.5 GHz will switch off? (see the beginning of this thread).

Hmm. I stick with it being on an Astra 2 widebeam.

Checking the Eute tp's the signal on the 11200 - 11450 varies between 55% & 68%

11580H is 75%, typical of 2E/F Euro beam.

What if the uplink was switched from 28A to 2E/2F during that short break this afternoon as a test?

What about: "Let's be careful raising the power on this additional transponder, we don't wan't to break down this old Eurobird 1 now already"?
Then after the test hours, it was switched off, there was a little meeting, and they decided: let's go for it!" ;)

From what I have observed today that is more than possible,

I did consider at one point that they were using AMC-14 @ 29.5° East but as it is inclined by 16.9°degrees also out of range of this transponder due to the video format used for data so I dismissed this one.

Meanwhile, up in space a little alien is passing by and sniffs, "What's that burning smell?" :D

It's a bit offtopic, but during Clarke-belt passes, AMC-14 actually is causing short-time notches in the reception quality of 12522V, coincidentally (or not?) the transponder that is duplicated on 11579H.

For some time I've noticed this signal at 11176 or 11180 H that I can not lock.It is pretty strong and appeared quite recently.Perhaps I am wrong, but I think it's on the Astra 2F?I would ask you to check this signal.Thanks.

It could be a data transmission like the ones on 12129V and 12441V, but I don't have the equipment to check at the moment.
