Manassas-Antenna-field-2.jpg Luxembourg/Singapore, 17 June 2014 – SES (NYSE Euronext Paris and Luxembourg Stock Exchange:

SESG)
today announced that Eurovision – the European Broadcasting Union's (EBU) distributor of premium sports and news events – is broadcasting the 2014 FIFA World Cup to audiences throughout North America, Latin America, Europe and Asia in Ultra HD and HD via SES satellites. Eurovision is distributing matches live in Ultra HD to their global network using the NSS-806 satellite and SES's teleport in Manassas. SES's NSS-7 and SES-6 spacecraft are being used to enable Eurovision to deliver matches from the 12 World Cup venues throughout Brazil to the International Broadcast Center in Rio de Janeiro. "Eurovision and the EBU are gearing up for one of the largest broadcast operations requirements in the history of the World Cup, now including Ultra HD content. The live coverage of some matches in Ultra HD will allow consumers to catch a glimpse of the future of TV," said Paolo Pusterla, Eurovision's Head of Procurement. - See more at: http://www.ses.com/4233325/news/2014/19709182#sthash.1ltaKYBB.dpufView attachment 66136 View attachment 66136

For those with an interest in surfing, on the sea that is, there's a feed showing the sport on 11.032H 6999 atm.
My TM5402 is showing a nice and healthy SQ around 75%.

I'm wondering if anyone else is having great difficulty in getting a sustained lock on the transponders, 12.733H, 1500 and 12.744H, 8000.

Yesterday afternoon, I took a couple of screenshots showing that I'm getting pretty high signal qualities with each. With regard to Nabaa TV on the 12.733 transponder, I was getting a SQ in the high eighties in the evening but still getting a very 'blocky' picture with broken sound.

The latter transponder is a Data one but I was unable to achieve a firm lock with this also. I was thinking along the lines that the parameters may have changed but I can see from Digi247's screenshot that Nabaa TV is still DVB-S2, MPEG4.

Well it does freeze now and then probably because of the low S/R.

Can anyone scan at with a pro device? There are some data streams changes, something moved to 11450-11700H, something new appeared in 12500-12750H.

Not seeing anything here, I really could do with a STB that has a Spectrum Analyser.

It's all guess work Rusty, I tried at 10ish and just now and nothing.
Not really sure why William has resurrected this thread and MTN has it's about much use as a chocolate fireguard, unless watching on a 6" screen.

It's all guess work Rusty...

Here you go, remove the guess work.

Using the one hour intervals in the table attached below, 20.0W is closest to the arc tomorrow at approximately 03:02 and 15:02. For tracking it today, subtract approximately 4 minutes from the times.
