Hi, wonder if anyone can help me out with something.

I need to recieve DVB from 20 discreet transponders but can't run more than one dish due to planning regulations - is there a manufacter who will supply 3 8-way LNBs, or perhaps a cleverer solution :-)

Many thanks

Might be a lot easier with a motorised dish and one LNB.

If its simultaneous viewing then if you know of the frequencies and satelite(s) then, yes, theres a solution

I'm distributing 60 channels, spread across 20 Transponders, over an IP multicast network to 1000 residents in a block of new apartments. Hence the need for the simultaneous reception of the 20 multiplexes.

Does that help?

Thanks

Could you tell us more about your IPTV solution? what hardware and software are you using to distribute it thru the IP network?

How many Mbps/channel?

How is the picture quality like?

Seems nice, will take a look at it.

In my country we are just in the beginning of a major roll-out of IPTV at serveral ISPs now, Canal Digital and Viasat will distribute all their channels thru the backbone networks in Sweden.

As many households have fiber-to-the-home they can guarantee a very high level of service to the households as the bandwidth is not the problem anymore.

Makes me want to live in Sweden...!

They are probably using Optibase (www.optibase.com) or Minerva (www.minerva.com) to do the MPEG2 translation. Good kit, but much more expensive than the Exterity boxes.
