Hi folks can anyone tell me why on my 85cm dish from the north west of the UK why I can pick up some transponders on the euro beam and not others. Some are perfectly strong whilst others I cant even get a signal on.

I Had a go at getting the Slovak Sport channel last night, and although I can get some transponders (eg 11895 V) off this european beam it seems I cant get the others (of which this channel is on 12109H). Its not down to being H or V either as I can get some transponders on H poleisation as well. Very odd as it seems hey operate on the same beam. Any ideas?

ps. Should say Astran 3B not 3V.....curse my fat fingers

Are you using the receiver listed in your profile, the TM 500 super?
12110 H 27500 is listed as DVB S2 whereas the TM 500 is listed as only having a DVB-S tuner.
Can you please update your profile, as you also mention having an 85cm dish but your profile states an 80cm Orbital dish.

Yes Im using the TM500Super and a 85cm dish will update profile. Looks like I may need a better reciever then to pick these up? Im thinking of going for a tm 800hd soon. So hopefully I will be able to get these..

A little less analogue, and a lot more crap.

It will be worth borrowing a receiver first before buying, the dish size is marginal where you are, cloudy weather may be enough to kill the signals.
