A little less analogue, and a lot more crap.

The reviews are - in the main - negative.

I have something similar (but older ) in the office, I'll take a look later to see if it is compatible with modern PCs.

Not too modern. In the decription "ITNS-500 is not compatible with MAC computers, and it is not compatible with an Windows OS beyond Windows 7"

Hi

Not sure what HP scanner you have, if it is back lighting then it can be used.

On one of the photo forums I am a member of the Epson v500 is suggested.

Thanks

Thanks. V500 is discontinued. The new replacement is V550 which looks good.
A friend who works as a photographer said he might have a photo scanner somewhere that he is not using, but I haven't heard from him as he is very busy.

Yes the V550 is the new version, if no joy from your friend worth looking out for a used v500 on fleabay.

You can scan and resell as they seem to hold their value.
