I cant get digital 1 for some reason, I cant understand it I am not that far from ponti, iv tweaked the dish and got radstv coming in @ 80%,
I love the test card on radstv atm.

As promised, I have wrestled command of the 80cm Dish from SWMBO and get:

RASDTV 11609 H 1851 with SNR 67%

&

Al Nassr TV Chad (Digital 1) 11488 V 1237 with SNR 70% and overmodulated Audio!

11454 H 2314

&

11674 V 1028

but no Channels.

Edit: They are Data TPs.

Something very strange is going on. I can get RASD TV no problem (72% quality) on both my Technomate and TBS card, not a sniff of the data transponders or Al Nasr TV here at all, despite being only a little south of you. I'll try again later on my Technomate but suspect I will have similar results.

It is dead stable - but martin isn't getting it either.

And I'm only using the 80cm.

Can't see anything incorrect - does your Rx resolve such low symbol rates?

That could be the problem tivu ? i can not see any reason why i should not get this/some signal movment, i will have to try the topfield :-).

Eer it has uploaded but needs to open in notepad.

They are both on now .About 20 minutes ago digital was showing a test card.Or something like that.

thanks ponti, ive tried 2 stb now t/m 6900 and a topfield tf7700 and nothing, i will have to check with the pci card at some point.

Digital1 is a very odd channel. My VU Ultimo scanned in the channel, but when I switch to the channel it can take up to 2 minutes before I get a picture. Once it has, it comes through at about 20% and rises slowly to 60% but the picture is fine . I assume this is the auto gain control (AGC) working on it. Just switching to RASDTV (which comes through immediately) and back to Digital1, I have to wait again.

Anyway, nice to have another channel at 45w. ;)

Both my TM5402 and my Alien2 change normally.
I am on the alien2 100cm dish now.
RASDTV SNR 66% BER 0. Digital 1 SNR 64% BER 0

The problem is the very low symbol rates - it takes time to "build up" the signal due to low SR hence you seeing the slow rise in SNR. Don't think it's anything to do with AGC.

There is a problem with the TM blind scan.The blind scan finds nothing on that satellite,even though it has the TPs in the satellite list.Doing a single transponder scan or normal scan finds them.As Captian jack says. I think that it is down to the scan timing out before a signal can build up.

my TM6800 reacts the same.
