Hi,

I was wondering if it is possible to setup 52.5 and 0.8 on same dish ? I have a 90 cm dish and located outside of Gothenburg, Sweden (57.83, 12.30)

My LNB bracket see attachment:

The best spread I've managed is about 26 degrees. I think you'll find your proposal is a step too far.

Second dish, or motor, would be the answer.

OpenBox X5 on a 1 meter motorized dish.
And now a 10 foot "C" band dish.

Best dish I've seen has a 40 degree of arc, so 53.3 degrees is a bit too much for one dish, you might get lucky and see something from the outside lobes if your using a T90 Wave Frontier Toroidal dish, but again it's viewing arc is 40 degrees.

A motorized setup would be a good choice, or two dishes as Lazarus mentioned.

It's not a stupid question at all - Just a question. We've all wanted to push the limits but sadly found they're generally not as generous as we should like.

We all were new at sometime, I wish I was new again, times were fun before the last ice age.

And there are no stupid question, only stupid answers.

There is a site called satbeams, you can look at the foot prints of almost any satellite up there in the Clark belt.

Satbeams - World Of Satellites at your fingertips

Select the satellite you want then select the correct beam for the channels you want, then you can zoom into your location and click on it, this will give you an estimated dish size needed for error free reception at that location, it will also tell you if you can see that satellite at that location, as some beams do not cover all locations.

With 40º of arc the Wavefrontier T90/Visiosat big bisat in the ends of the arc only render like a bad antenna of 55cm.
With + 50º of arc the Wavefrontier T90/Visiosat big bisat in the ends of the arc only yield like a bad antenna of 45cm.
Better with 2 antennas.
--------

On OP's traditional 90 no chance.
Easiest to go with two dish solution. No need for 2x90, 1W (for Canal Digital) kan be done easily on ~60 cm dish. This also what CD gives you when you sign up as regular new customer. But it can be comfortably received on a well aligned 40 cm dish, but with less rain margin. So eg if size on a balcony matters, you could add smaller dish. Even a flat one if there are restrictions on the number of dishes.

But if you really wanted to it on a single dish, it can be done.
The now-long-out-of-production SMW OA-1600 has a physical span of 52 degrees. It performs more or less like a 1m dish across the span.
And since you can angle the lnbs for easy-to-receive sats quite a lot, I am certain 52.5e and 1w can be done.
But it is a big awkward dish, and is more difficult to set up than two single dishes. On the plus side, you can probably find a used one locally, as they were made in Sweden, and still pop up occasionally on blocket and the like.

@RimaNTSS has a thread elsewhere on this site documenting his installation.
