Advice Needed 7.0°W + 8.0°W

Hi there,

I`m new to Satellites.co.uk, and would like your advice.

Presently I`m receiving Eutelsat and Nilesat @ 7.0°W

Now I would like to add Eutelsat 8 @ 8.0°W to my setup, would this be possible on the same dish ?

You should already be getting 8 west,

Frequency spectrum sharing at 7/8 west

Eutelsat 7 west A @ 7.3 west
10.7 to 10.95 + 11.2 to 11.7 + 12.1 to 12.5 GHz

Nilesat 201 @ 7 west (No reception here in the East of England with a 100 cm dish)
11.7 to 12.35 GHz

Eutelsat 8 west B
10.95 to 11.2 + 11.45 to 11.7 + 12.5 to 12.75 GHz
Also uses 11.45 to 11.7 GHz on the Middle East beam.

You will need to compromise if you want both at the same time on a 150cm dish.
I find with a 150cm dish in London that if you use a 7w transponder to max your signal you get around 80% quality and only about 50% quality on 8w and if you use a 8W transponder to max your signal then I find you get 80% on 8w and only 55% on 7w.
I think its not possible to have both with max strength in fringe locations.

I have literally set up around 10 dishes now in the last few months but still a novice by no means

This is the first dish i have set up with an actuator/polar mount

i am using an op125 in the northwest with invacom C120/gibby feedhorn

Gibby polar mount, 12 inch superjack

Getting around 40% on the bein channels, ON sport, oman sport etc on 7w

The main problem is i lose signal if i move the dish even 1mm and the meter i have purchased is not the best

what are the recommendations for even tweaking another 5 - 10 % out of this setup

The picture is breaking up somewhat (an understatement lol)

I feel this could be watchable if i could just tweak it a tad more

I don't know what "39%" SNR translates to as it's an arbitrary figure but if it's anything like Vu+, it's probably somewhere around 6dB. I down sarf and was definitely getting better signals on the 1.2m dish but I don't know what signal is like for Eutelsat 7W oop noorf. It may be that you'll need a larger dish.
