My Satellite Setup
No satellite stuff for the moment (aside from a 43cm minidish that was on the house already), Samsung SyncMaster T27B550 Smart TV & Monitor, and a few computers...

Can't possibly think why they named it Farout..........


Will never be played, but that song resides on the surface of Mars in amongst the wreckage of Beagle 2... :)

Can't possibly think why they named it Farout..........

The simplest and most likely explanation is ... terminological:far-out,some thing that is out of this world,strange and extreme.Instead of letters and numbers,as VG18 or other initials/acronyms,they give a Name in the primary meaning of the term?

I love space releated news and discoveries! Every day we know a bit more of what is around us. Imagine if sun was so strong that life would be possible on a dwarf planet that far, each day would last 500 Earth years and each night 500 Earth years.

Subsequent imaging of the Beagle 2 landing site shows it likely landed intact but one of the petals didnt deploy correctly which ended up blocking the antenna system
