I'm in the process of installing a new system and would appreciate advice as to what would be normal or acceptable play in a motor.

I've mounted the 1224 HH motor today and the play in the motor translates to approx 5-6 mm of movement at each edge of my 1 mtr dish.

All being well I'll connect everything up tomorrow and see what I find.

Is this degree of movement liable to produce problems in windy weather with the picture breaking up.

Thanks in advance.

I was going to order that motor, it seems they lowered the quality on that one as well.

Woobling is not accepted, there shouldn't be any play in a high quality motor.

You will get problems in that the signal will fluctate when it's windy outside.
