Hey folks,

Taq 7 on 19.2E has at least two audio PIDS available. 0070h (112d) is the Spanish audio, and 0071h (113d) is the English, or original.

A transponder scan on the Dreambox only produces the Spanish PID.

I can receive the 0071h English audio fine on my SS2 PCI card, but can't add it to the Dreambox, not even with DreamBoxEdit.

This is because DBE only allows you (on the face of it) to apply a single audio PID. If I simply change the audio PID to 0071h (113d) I lose the whole works, video and all.

Before I point Ultraedit32 at the offending data file, does anyone have any idea how to go about adding this in a more civilised manner?

Thanks people.

1. In DreamBoxEdit make a note of the SIDs for unused Taq channels 9 ,10 and 12. I think they are 30059, 30060 and 30061. Then delete these three channels.

2. Next "copy and edit" Taqs 5, 6 and 7 to make three new channels Taq 5 Eng, Taq 6 Eng and Taq 7 Eng. Use the original vpid and PCR pids but enter the new audio pids (81,125 and 113 respectively).

3. Also change the SIDs to those "stolen" above, 30059, 30060 and 30061, respectively.

4. Set the "K" and "P" flags for these three new channels.

5. Save each new channel next to the original channel.

6. FTP new list to DB and "reload". It is a good idea to reboot too.

7. Go to the original channel first (eg Taq 5) then to the newly created channel (Taq 5 Eng) and you should get English audio and video!

Thanks Wally.

I'll try that, and maybe try and take it a step further too.

Cheers!

Done it, and it works fine. Strange that I need to go to the original channel first, then to the new one to get a picture, but it does work....
Thanks Wally
