We are in the Canaries and only recieve the H signals from 2D so we normally add in (Via Extra Channels) the ITV regional variations. I have a friend that when he enters the 10832 H 22.0 5/6 gets the no signal recieved banner instead of some of the ITV Ch's. We have tried different Set top boxes and they scan it in no problem so the signal etc is fine.

The Box is a Pace 2500 S5 and the Operating System Version is 1.2S4BQ.

This is a long running account but has just been paired with this box.

Questions

Is the Operation system out of date and could be causing this problem?

Because it has been newly paired could Sly have done something to stop you recieving these channels as with the BBC Interactive?

Anyone else with similar problems or Suggestions?

Thanks

My Satellite Setup
Snap's setup: (In Spain) Humax HDR, Prodelin 1.8m dish + Invacom QDF-031 + CM feed, (In UK) CallFlow VDSL + EE 4G, Sky Q, YouView HD, Mac OSX, iOS
My Location
UK: Tonbridge, Kent. Spain: Madrid.
Try entering 10714 H 22 5/6
or 10891
ITV have moved many of its channels so this is the source of your problem
It may be they are just too weak to receive

Maybe the tuner is poor/faulty, if other boxes on the same dish receive it then that's about all it could be.

Sky haven't done anything to stop these channels being received.

Thanks Snap I should have said that it will not take any of the ITV Regions. We are trying to get 10832 as ITV Central is the strongest signal here. Thanks again.

Polomint - your probably right about the tuner but it picks up BBC etc no problem off the same satellite.

I think he should invest in a Pace 2600 and be done.

Thanks again

Quite agree with that sentiment. Pace 2500s are quite poor for fringe recepton.

HI,
Sounds as if your software version is out of date. Do a forced download to get the latest Pace update (couple of weeks ago) then try Set up/add channels/10891/H/22.00/5/6. You should get ITV English channels Yorkshire/Meridian/Border Scotland etc.
If it doesnt work go to system Setup, 4,0,1, and in the LNB Setup set the Power Supply Output to ON and the 22Mhz Output to On, save settings and try again.
If the 22 Mhz Output is set to off you will not get these channels.

Agree about the digibox, I understand the Pace 2500 is one of the worst for fringe area reception. Since I upgraded to the Pace 2600 I get decent amounts of BBC and ITV which I never did with my Pace 2200 and thats with a 2.4m dish in Limassol which based on the general opinions is too small to recieve BBC and ITV so its all down to my Pace 2600. I do not even have the correct LNB and feedhorn for my dish so you can see what a huge difference a good receiver can make.

For me the Tyne Tees ITV is definatley giving me a better signal than Central at least at this time of day when I just checked.

I got mine from Ebay (this will link to the pace 2600s up for sale or auction) they currently have one that you can buy instantly for £50 with £10 delivery although this is to the UK, if you have someone who can forward it to you it should not cost more than a further £10. There are others that will deliver worldwide although they are more expensive. It is well worth the investment.

All these boxes are used, but in Cyprus you can expect to pay CY£150-£180 although they are reconditioned with 3 months guarantee so it was cheaper for me to buy from ebay, just make sure you buy from someone who has good feedback.
