advice please

My Satellite Setup
Technomate 5000 dapci
Triax 1.1 dish
Jaeger 99 H to H motor
hi
1st i must say a great forum and wondered if i could get some advice please as I have a 10ft high shed running the full length of my southern boundary and wondered how close i can site my dish for the signal to come over the shed.I have been offered a technomate 5000dacpi and a triax 1.1dish read a bit about the 5500 but can`t seem to find anything on the 5000 what are they like as I am new to all this if it makes any difference I am in north northumberland thanks in advance

As a general rule, twice the height as a distance away, 10 foot shed = 20 foot gap. But if it has an apex roof you may get closer. There is not much difference in spec between the 5000 & 5500.

thanks for that I can get about ten metres so it should be ok
