A little less analogue, and a lot more crap.

I was offered a free ticket to see this yesterday at the local cinema. Having seen Prometheus a few weeks earlier and believing a five year gap might have been long enough to make up for the glaring plot holes I thought why not ? I went in knowing only that the latest offering was just over two hours long

Ridley Scott really has lost the plot, at least for this franchise.

What happened to the earlier - plausible - storyline ?

Wife and I saw this last week, The effects and production values were high but all the way through I felt that it was just a rehash of the original Alien film. There really was nothing new there.

Wife enjoyed it though.

One hell of a lot more - samey - corridors in Covenant than Nostromo, I thought I had beamed over to the Liberator for a split second.

This was nothing like Alien, even the orbital manoeuvring was boring in Covenant.

No cat either.

If only someone, somewhere could come up with something original....

I liked Arrival, even though I had to look up later on what the hell it was all about!

It certainly upped the yuck factor with decapitated bodies and eviscerated corpses but the basic premise was the same. I was left dissatisfied.

That's easy, small and large satellite dishes.
