Once you have 'Flashed' the image and receive a message from the software that everything has been completed successfully.

Click on 'OK' in the window.

Your DreamBox is now updated.

Close the program by clicking on 'Exit'

Remove the power cable, the null modem cable.

Wait 20 seconds.

Plug the TV Scart and coaxial cable into the box. Plug in the power cable.

As soon as the Dream logo appears on the TV, press and hold down the upper key (of the two on the left), do not release it until 'flash erase' appears in the display on the DreamBox.

Your DreamBox then resets itself, and returns to the TV menu.

Just downloaded the manual for the 5620 (in German)

Will try and translate and return - does mention 9999 and pressing the top right button the 9 appears - will try and find out what it's all about.

Did you flash it with the 1.06 image from the official site here?

And the DreamUp DM5620 from the same?

From what I can make out you restart the box until 999 appears on the screen then press the button and wait until a fourth 9 appears then release.

Someone with a 5620 must know for certain....

No no.The button you must it press it when you reboot. Then the 999 appears and when the flash erase is ready the 4th nine appears.

When you remove ALL the cables from the Dreambox and then connect only the null modem cable DreamUp no longer works?

Gameboy it is good to have someone like you who bothers to search and download thinks so can help others.People like you makes this forum special.

Homerjay about hyperterminal when all the settings are ready and exactly when you turn on your box then press twice enter and then you ll get the report. If you are late then you ll see only the Dreambox 5620.

Please dont mind my english.
