Amstrad DRX100

I have an Amstrad DRX100 sky digibox which powers up as the little red light comes on and changes to green when when I switch on, but it does nothing else. I can't even get a menu to appear on screen. Is there any hope for this box or should I soak it in the bath or chuck it in a skip?
