According to Lyngsat, analogue transmissions are still on Arabsat 26e... :s I never knew about this before, neither have I seen it on sites such as analoguesat's.

Is this a mistake at Lyngsat?

Just some of the channels listed as transmitting on analogue are Dubai TV, CNN, NewSat, MBC2, Al Jazeera, Dubai Sports Channel and LBC Sat.

Thanks,

Edit: Was just thinking.. CNN is a bit of an odd channel to be on such a satellite :D

Yes they are but they are in C-band. You need special equipment to watch C-band.

Ah..well.. I have no idea what C-Band is :p

Is it possible to obtain equipment to watch it? And at what cost?

C-band uses downlink frequencies of around 4GHz instead of the usual 11GHz that Ku band uses. Result you need a bigger dish (absolute minimum 1.2m diameter, and a C-nband lnb.)
