I wouldn't feel confident enough G ..on account I cannot accurately state the transponder frequencies..
Unless I could find a couple of solid reference transponders to calibrate the scale properly.
No easy task with data transponders.

This is where it would be useful to receive Saorsat..as it falls within the limits of the SL3 band B....JUST
That would be a useful reference point..but of course..I'm out of the footprint.

Hmmm ...looks like I got it fairly close ..
I remembered the scottish beam carries crap ..but is lockable at my QTH ..so used it ..
swung the dish to 9E and managed a lock at 20184 ..V
ie R ..
I guess thats pretty close for a guestimate..

Got a new mystery to try and solve ..
Assuming Neil has Astra @28.2 East accuratly positioned in the Vbox ..then this which was found approx 10 Vbox clicks west of Astra is one I haven't seen before ..
It could I guess be from 28.2 ..and the positioner is slightly out ..but since Hylas 2 is to the left of Astra ..I don't believe this is the origin ..
Which leaves either Badr ..or possibly 25 East ..or maybe the Astra group itself..
I can't find anything listed ..but the scan is accurate.
Thus it is 19742 ..possibly circular ..though more likely Vertical ..

although the peak is still present ..the modulation has since ceased ..but locked and checked it twice whilst present ..and Yes the TBS card reported 57001 both times..

Well 2F has a Ka payload so its quite possible you have found a new transmission format at 28E

I've knocked up a quick chart in paint..to give a quick reference of what lnbs are out there for Ka (various band coverage)
..at least the ones I'm aware of..
Some lnbs only do part coverage..
The Norsats and XMW lnbs are expensive relatively... the PLLs are the MOST expensive ..but both cover entire bands ..wheras your Invertos and Hughes only cover sections of bands..
The DirecTV SL3 covers 2 bands in their entirity ...and you get 2 lnb duplicates per unit ..
Problem is ...the polarity is circular ..but a linear compromise can be reached.
