It seems the old Channel Master design is getting old and doesn't perform as well as the "new" dishes from Laminas in Poland.

Here is a picture of a performance comparison by a German sat professional using the exact same feedhorn and LNB on both dishes, the Laminas outperform the Andrew/Channel Master/ASC Signal dish easily.

It would be interesting to see a comparison using a brand new version of both dishes across the full band, as on paper, the Andrews should outperform the Laminas.

These are SMC dishes, age doesn't affect performance, and full band doesn't mean a thing, same LNB and feed used on both dishes during testing.

They might been good in the days.

With the greatest of respect to the guy who did the test, I think I would prefer to see a more detailed and complete test with both dishes being in near new condition and corroborated by an independent source, prior to making a judgment. ;)

You are correct it does not matter if the dish is 1day old or 20 years old as it is a smc dish i have a 23 year old 1.2m cm and there is no difference between it and my 1 year old 1.2m Andrew branded dish,

Well here's my problem with this test result, either the Andrew spec is over optimistic, or the Laminas spec is pessimistic, as on paper, the two should perform pretty much identically. This leaves me with the thought that perhaps the method of testing is questionable and should be looked at with a degree of skepticism..

I totally agree with why you say as think the person who done the test is the person selling the dishes,
