The Invertos are very different in performance from one sample to another.

I ordered 50pcs C120 Single LNBs in a lot from Inverto and tried all of them, and the result was very uneven.

The one i have now is the best of the lot i had.

Somewhat i am not surprised with that outcome M8...I wouldnt expect consistency from an LNB worth £15...You are lucky, you had the chance to pick one out of a 50piece lot...

i think imust have got one of your other ones likvid:D

But i have tried the Invacoms as well and they all failed miserably so i might have been unlucky with Invacom.

I agree, the single C120 invacoms are not consistent either but the quad is solid as a rock....I go through a lot of quad invacoms and i havent had a bad one yet.

I am in south wales and get all nilesat transponders 24/7 on my 1.2 Andrew's with inverto i get about 80% signal qulity,

I also get all the horzontal transponders on my 1.2 but the signal is not strong enuf to lock on my technomate i get 63% signal qulity and they brake up bad where i need 66% or more to lock on with no break ups,

Thats why i use a 1.8m dish on nilesat so i can get the horizontal transponders 24/7 and allow for rain fade,

I tested both signal and quad invacoms and found them both the same,

When you tested the quad did you see diffrent qulity on diffrent outputs,

On 1.2m andrew & 1.8 andrews i tested single, twin and quad invacoms but none where as good as the inverto and i have been installing dishes for year from 43cm andrews up to RX/TX 9.3m andrew's at earth stations,

And i have test loads of lnb's over the years

I have come to the point where i find the best lnb with andrew's offset ku-band linear feedhorns is the inverto so far,

I just got an inverto single lnb for my fibo 90cm fibo dish, and tbh I couldn't really see any improvement over the mti lnb that came with the dish. It is certainly not the 'wunderlnb' it has been for others.

I chucked the dish up last weekend, and haven't had the chance to tweak the dish alignment yet, so perhaps things may improve when I line it up properly, coz at the moment I am not getting much better performance than I did with an old 95cm dish and smart titanium lnb :(

Probably out a bit m8, as with Gregorian and prime focus dishes, you have to be spot on.

Well I would be quite surprised if I had got it spot on in the first attempt, although I was very careful to get the pole vertical and also to set the scales correctly on the dish and polar mount.

We'll see tomorrow...

Then it must be something wrong with your dish, did you buy it new or used? might be warped if it's a old one.

I got it used, but it isn't warped as far as I can tell. There are no dinks in the dish, nor can I see any variations in the main reflector shape and I collected it myself, so it couldn't have got damaged in transport. As I said, I haven't had chance to fine-tune the elevation etc, so it's most likely that it's not quite tracking the arc properly. I have been messing about with it this evening, and am getting a lot more channels on Amos and Sirius than before, although I don't seem to be getting as much on nilesat atm :(

However, the inverto lnb doesn't seem to be much of an improvement over the 0.6dB MTI one that came with the dish, and I am quite disappointed with it as I was under the impression that they were very good lnbs. I must have just been unlucky and got a duff one, but unfortunately I can't afford to buy another one to find out for sure...
