I've just bought a Toroidal 90 sat dish. I've tried to set it up with the following.

Hotbird 13
Astra 19.2
Astra 28.2

I have been able to receive Hotbird and Astra 19.2 but cannot find Astra 28.2. The documentation delivered with the dish is S..T.

Any experts ?

By the way I am in Belgium.

Thanks.

www.sat4all.com is the place for you, it's in Netherlands and they have very good knowledge about Wavefrontier there.

There are a couple of threads here with some useful links, try searching for them. There is also I believe a PDF available with installation instructions.

Thanks to you all but I worked it out myself. I'd mounted the front panel upside down ;-)

LOL, glad you got it sorted SoSat, doubt if you are the first to make that mistake and probably won't be the last.

All the best

There are some people at other forums that mounted the subreflector upside down also, seems to be a very common mistake.

Am having problems with my wavefrontier. Elevation seems fine and the pole 90degrees. Am putting 19E in the centre but the moment i go to 28.2 or further east i cant get any satellite without removing the bracket and placing the lnb manually.

Anyone who has a wavefrontier installed here?

You are supposed to move the LNBs manually til you find the best signal.

You adjust the dish with the LNB in the middle to the best signal, then you add LNBs to the arm and manually adjust the LNBs only to find the best signal.

To adjust the skew of the antenna you adjust the antenna using the LNBs furthest away from the middle LNB, in this case you adjust the skew only to the best signal by skewing it.

Thats what am doing but I get dissapointing results. I wanna receive from 1w to 39E. I have 19E in the middle and when i get to 28E the signal gets weaker and it begins to dissapear slowly. When I reach 39E i get nothing but only if i remove the bracket and place the lnd lower. Is this normal behaviour?

Well you are at the extreme limits of the dish.

Try adjust the skew of the dish slightly.

Ive been trying very hard but nothing. I cant find a way to receive 19E and 39E together. 39E wont come in unless i change the elevation but then I lose 19E. On the other side I have seen people who have done it. What could be wrong? Anyone knows any people who know how to install these dishes in London? This is getting frustrating)(-red

Skew in what way? I have rotated it with no result though not as much as the pictures show. I'll try again.

Problem fixed. I had to rotate the dish eastwards quite a bit in order for all sats to be received.

I now receive from 42W to 5w
