Oh behave...some pictures in this thread....Fraccaro 1.2 with Ka Band A

How long have Fraccaro been around ?

Are there any distinguishing marks to tell the difference between the 2 brands ?

Edit... Just taken the delivery of the 2 and they seem great, they both have quad lnb's on them

I am not really familiar with either lnb's, I have always used IBU and been happy

The one on the Gib/Fracc is a MTi quad - s841003792 and the Triax has a Triax Quattro TQT 007 (part# 304449)

Not familiar with either of them so perhaps I will google them

No idea, on the Fracarro. It is a self adhesive sticker on my dish, so perhaps Gibertini are the main makers of this dish. Don't know if they are badged under any other name.

Fraccaro have been around since just after 2000, when they acquired Philips and a well known French company.

The MTI quad performs OK, but I've had several fail in the past, so stopped using them, use the Triax quattro quite often, perform well, although not as well as the Black Ultra.

Thanks rolfw, that's really helpful, will avoid the MTi one as you suggested and stick that Triax quattro on OR if it's not up to the job bang on a Black Ultra

The MTI LNBs are OK whilst they work and they may have improved in recent years. The quattro will of course only be useful if you are using a multiswitch.

totally stupid question, but are the length of the boom arms different on the 1m Gib and the 1.25m Gib ?

I already have a 1m Gib up high and can't quite figure it out

I am pretty sure it is the OP100L, although I can't make out the boom arm length, just curious if it's the same length as the 1.25, would be handy if it was for the purpose of cutting corners for me

If you got longer arms, and a decent tape measure, you could work that one out:-rofl2
