Reason I ask is that I have been living in my new house, and the previous owner left his Sky Box and card, and its got all the channels?!? Obviously its going to get cut off, but I am thinking is that if I remove the card during the day sky cannot delist the card?

my guess would be,if the subscription isnt paid for, then they zap the card from the main computer.whether its in the box or not.

Wont work - Sky Digital cards need regular authorisation commands to "stay alive" If they dont get them the cards deactivates.

In the old days of Sky analogue there were "kill" commands sent out to cards, and if the card missed them they could stay active for months.

Sky sensibly (for them) changed over when they went digital :D

Of course - all commands are sent via satellite.

Is this automactically done out of business hours? If I only watch Sky after 7pm when I get in from work with the card removed, maybe it would work. I have been doing this for a week now, and its still active

No idea, but you can bet Sky have that idea covered. Enjoy the bonus programming, and dont be surprised when it goes off :D

No point crying about it. Be philosophical. You didn't pay - so it's a bonus. At least you'll get all the FTV stuff at the end, and you did score a box.
