Soon i will buy my self a dvb-s card to use for recording and watching tv here in sweden i am going to use it for CD but now to my question.

The card i am going to buy is a TwinhanDTV Sat-CI so i wonder if its possible to use any softcams and emus with that card to open up d+

far a exampel S2emu1.19 and the correct Softcam keys?

Yes, your suggested combination works. You'll need to pick a good viewer app. though, and that's the hard part. They're all rubbish really, but some more so than others.

Check to see if they'll work with your card before wasting your time. The earlier versions (around 4.5) of ProgDVB are probably the best of a bad bunch.

No, but the app. itself is a bit tricky to get used to, and pretty flakey (unstable).

Chuck all the s2emu etc. files in the ProgDVB root directory. Make sure you have a fresh key file.

No - you dont have to click on anything. I believe you are thinking of something else.
You just run the install, then in the folder it creates go S2emu and your keys.

that's it :)

Why the Twinhan out of interest??
There is no real advantage over a skystar unlesss you plan to buy cams and cards as well.
Or are you aiming at something specific ??

Well i am intended to buy it so i can watch and record from CD here in sweden but the part with d+ is tempting as a alternativ so if ther is no big bugs about the twinhan card i think i go for that one and a conax module + a twin subscription so i get my own card and dont need to take the one from the living room.
