I tried it out a while back. Besides its main purpose of "secure" communication for those in repressed countries (and paranoids in the West) it seemed to be a market place for buying, selling and distributing hacking tools, stolen credit card numbers and Paypal accounts, illegal drugs, weapons, legal highs and child pron. OK if you are into any of those

If anyone reading this is playing with TOR for nefarious purposes just remember its nowhere near as anonymous as people think it is - the spooks have ways of finding out where the home IP is

And seeing as its almost certain all UK internet traffic goes through GCHQ at some point using TOR is likely to flag you up as a suspicious character!

Its certainly an entertaining story but it does leave some awkward questions unanswered. For starters the police are deliberately facilitating and possibly encouraging crimes here. This today - where does this sort of behaviour end if it becomes acceptable?

Im sure everyone has a vice, though most are legal things. So if entrapment was more commonplace that means there would be hardly left in society and all locked up.

Well planting moles or infiltrating organisations, known as undercover operations has been going on for decades, there are legal processes involved to avoid the plant being prosecuted even to the extent of re-location and name changes, this is however a new prescedent, before long will we be having marches on the streets claiming we are a police state?????
