Does anyone have any experience with the Hauppauge DVB-S pc card with or without CI module?

I understand it is compatible with the Linux-TV open source software project.

Is it good, ie picture compared to a satellite receiver. Did you have any problems installing the software, which OS?

Are you planning to use CI with it?

Thanks

I have installed one and it works fine. I have installed a Common Interface card ($100)an Irdeto CAM (Common Access Module)for $150 and then purchased a NOVA card which enables me to watch encripted Greek Channels. Both picture and sound are fine.

If you need something specific please ask me. I will be happy to help if I can.

Hi

Where can I buy a Hauppauge DVB-S card and a CI module? I prefer to buy from online shops because of my location in Asia. Many shops sell only the tuner card without a CI module and I need both.

I read in MLog v3.61 documentation, it can log data from this PCI card so has anybody done it...?

Thanks and regards
