Hi is arab sat stronger than 28.2e, i get locked on 26.e but im trying to get 28.2, if 28.2 is stronger then i might be on 28.2. Have not checked on sat box as i was busy. What is the quickest way to get 28.2 im using a first strike meter. Thanks

You need to try for one of the 28EPan European beam frequencies.

But to be honest all you need to do is nudge the dish round about the width of the lnb head and down a fraction. Depending on the signal strengths you may find Badr just swamps many of the weaker Astra signals

It will also depend on your dish size - eg you will have much more difficulty eliminating interference on an 80 cm dish that you will on a 1.8m dish due to the narrower acceptance angle on the bigger dish.

Down approx 0.5 degree, rotate 2 degree East, try using Sky News on 12207 V 27500 as a primary lock.
Need to know where you are to advise the size of dish you will need to get BBC, ITV etc. If deep south, give up and learn Spanish quick!

Cheap piece of junk Spanish (Tecatel) 120cm(x110) dish, Inverto Ultra twin LNB and Sky HD box.

I receive all channels in Valencia on a 1.2m without problems except for 11053H (ITV2 HD), which is permanently no signal. Is this due to interference from 11045H on Badr? I can't think what else it would be. More interested technically than to watch ITV2 gash, but could become more of a problem in the future.

- What do you mean by "I receive all channels"? Could you specify which channels?
- I doubt you have interference from Badr. I think you simply out of the coverage area of the UK beam from Astra 2G.

I get a good signal on every transponder except 11053. UK transponders on 2e, 2f and 2g are unusually strong in Valencia

Is 11023H also receivable ? Could you post a screenshot?

Yep, that transponder is fine. Not sure what you want me to post - I just get a no signal screen on ITV2 HD.

And how do you know that there is 11045H transponder on Badr? I can not find it on Lyngsat or KOS.
By posting a screenshot I mean to grab picture of the TV-screen and post it here. Something like this ScreenHunter_535 Jan. 23 11.44.jpg
That what I was asking from you to show similar picture of reception of 11023H with all the data about channel available on the screen.

Have you tried receiving it at 11049H, or at 11057H?
Sometimes with a LOF instability, you (at first) only have problems on one transponder.
That's why I always test that first, with shifted frequencies (or shifted LOFs, that has the same effect).

Sorry, it's not on Badr, but Eutelsat 25B Eutelsat 25B/Es'hail 1 at 25.5°E - LyngSat Signal is quite strong

I only have a Sky box so nothing to see. When tuned to ITV2HD the signal test page shows one of the inputs as Not locked with zero signal strength and zero signal quality

Cheers, but no signal on those either. The LNB is 4 years old and maybe has cooked in the heat, but odd that only this transponder is problematic.
