Are the rumours about ART getting Premiership games again next season true?

Can't remember where i read it, or i may of even dreamt it, but i'm sure i heard that ART are trying to do a deal to show Premiership games for the 2007-2008 season.

Has anyone else heard this?

There are a couple fo threads on here about it, but I don't think that the rumour has been cleared up yet.

I can't see that it would happen to any major degree, as I'm sure the deal was done with Showtime because of the difficulty of reception in the UK, to then allow them to sell it on to ART would seem to be counterproductive.

If it goes ahead it will probably be restricted to the ART channels on 7W.

The way he story came about i thought they may have got the same package as Setanta (for international viewers), and looking at the numbers reported it looks similar also.

3pm kick off would therefore be out of the question

I was watching the end of the premiership season at the weekend on ART, during one of the Advertisement breaks i noticed a ART Subscription Advert that was showing Premiership football and also Italian football which they don't currently show, surely this must be for next season? I've heard all the rumors but do you think it is possible that Showtime have done a deal to allow ART to broadcast on 13e and Showtime on 7w. Also if anyone is thinking of going for DigitalB next season, don't do it. It has been FTA for the last couple of days and i must say the picture quality is terrible.

I think ART was pretty pants in terms of picture quality, but then so was the footy on Premiere!
