Rated high on the list of value for money battery list - Duracell Industrial (relaunch of their Procell range). Range of types including AA, AAA, C, D and PP3 mostly higher performance than their standard consumer range at about a third of the price. Only disadvantage they are sold in boxes of 10 so for those who use a lot of batteries.

Used to use Procell at work many years ago. My experience with the current consumer range is they leak!

All the Duracell I have used have always leaked.

Stop buying them a long time a go.

I had a really nice HT* ruined by some leaking AA Duracell's, they after some threatening phone calls regarding some lawyers and a negative blog or two, they replaced it with a new one.

I have since then switched to re-chargeable LI double A's (from Duracell) in all HT's, and not a sign of a leak.

However I have run into some of their "Copper top's" that have even leaked in the package, (never used) and way before the expiration date on them of 2025.

So somewhere something has changed in the design as I have some battery's with a date of 2000 and their still good.

*HT a short for a Handy Talky, or hand held radio transceiver.

No satellite stuff for the moment (aside from a 43cm minidish that was on the house already), Samsung SyncMaster T27B550 Smart TV & Monitor, and a few computers...

I haven't trusted Duracells for a very long time, ever since they made 9V PP3s that would blow up like firecrackers, batteries ain't meant do go bang, ever, just run out of power and get thrown in the nearest bin...
