Do you mean physically or polarity wise? If you mean polarity, then the transponder should be Horizontal, if you mean Skew, then you need to be at half past and 25 minutes to the hour.

Cheers mate, whats the difference between physically and polarity? When you say the transponder should Horizontal do you mean the Lnb should be Horizontal ?And what is the scew? the rod that attaches the Lnb to the dish?Sorry i find it all confusing.

I'm talking about just the Lnb, not the rod/scew that its attached to.

Do a search on skew, loads of threads about it, it is the physical adjustment of the LNB to match the polarity of the individual satellite, for 13 East it is as I have described above.

Is this the shape you mean by half past and 25 to. http://www.satellites.co.uk/php-bin/forum/attachment.php?attachmentid=2329&d=1114764011

Basically the sat shop i went into said if i turn the skew a few degrees i might be able to improve the signal quality and ultimately the picture quality for Arts Sports.I can pic up other channels on Hotbird with perfect picture but Arts Sports although watchable could be better. So would you advise turning the skew phisically?

Is it so that some channels on the same satellite ie Hotbird receive better quality pictures with different skew ajustments or should the picture quality be the same on all of the channels at the same skew angle ?
