I have a 3.7m prime focus dish from DH with an Invacom c120 quad and universal feedhorn. Until recently I was getting the 2D Horizontals 24/7 and the Verticals most of the time. Recently the signal has been breaking up late at night. Have replaced the LNB and then reset skew and focal length etc (however only had a generic receiver to check strength/quality as sat meter not working.
Generic receiver showed 35-40 quality and ss of 60ish.
Noticed feed horn was bit corroded and does have a small flat on the outer rim of about 2cm long (may have been there some time though...perhaps installer dropped it). Scraped the horn clean a little but no improvement. Do not have a replacement feedhorn at present so any hints as to how to try to get the signal up a little.
So far have adjusted skew, moved feedhorn around in mount to see if it is lined up centrally and tried altering focus length by up to 20mm in and out.
Have pulled on the tensioning wires etc to see if it made even a slight difference.....nothing.
