Your possibly right but there will then be delays moving the craft around the sky as that takes a couple of weeks. There was a general consensus that if they don't need to do the same level of testing with 2F as 1N (due to 1N being tested for interim and final mission locations) then they may do this at 31.5E where 3B was also tested prior to going in service.

The satellite will be launched into space from the European Space Centre in French Guiana on board an Ariane 5 ECA rocket between 23:28pm and 00:05am (September 28-29, 2012 Central European Summer Time; 17.28 – 18.05 EDT on 28.9.12).

Last time oddly Astra/SES encrypted the launch of SES5 on 19.2E :confused

i think i will watch it like on here ....via HDMI 46in SHARP 4 color TV with sony ANALOGUE amp and 5 speakers in a room with no windows and a metal door (der bunker)

Is 11626V currently up as I can't seem to see it. Just put up a dish in the garden at 19.2E in to my Panasonic Freesat PVR, must say I'm impressed at the quality of German HD! I can get the SD launch feed but not getting lock on the HD one.

It's endstop here, just like the 2F UK "spotbeam" is going to be when they switch it on.

And as you can probably see it is DVB-S2, but not HD.

Cheers. I guess they'll remap the SID to HD PID's closer to the end of the week? I did spot that launch caption so guess that's it!
