MOU's can easly be ignored or changed when the broadcaster is desperately short of money. We KNOW that the BBCi streams were to be cut back drastically after the Olympics finished, and theres no chance the Beeb will keep 11954 open just for the radio channels.

I thought that changed with the recent license fee deal, and the Foreign office no longer funds "bbc world service" overseas from 2014, and will be totally funded by the lisence fee / tax...?

damn. just emerged from a huge rain and thunderstorm, and found the dishes have moved, and motor is knackered and flashing lights at me...(ferris wheel in the towns fair collapsed - thats how powerful the winds were) so no watching on TV, thank gawd for the live feed in tinkernet...

(this is what the storms - they report a 1 minute tornado - did to the town fair ferris wheel - at least 1 dead)
