I live in SW France near Bordeaux and have no problem with Sky through a sky box. I have recently bought a new digital receiver and dish {universal LNB] sold just about everywhere around here so that I can get the FTA French national stations. I am told these are on Atlantic Bird 3.

Having set it all up I can find Astra 1 no problem, I can get Hotbird with ease but cannot get Atlantic 3 [5W].

The receiver is a Axil AD600. Most of the satellites are setup so it should just be a question of selecting the satellite then moving the dish. But now my arms are aching. What am I doing wrong??

Good easy to understand help would be appreciated.

Cheers

Atlantic bird 3 aims at france, and it has the strongest signal for all of us on the med. Set your dish at roughly 47 for the elevation. and then move your dish so it points at 183´. (These are from my dish, but the signals so strong you´ll still get it.) Hotbird is at 153´. if you have a compass that wold help.

Try to get the elevation right and then just pan slowly until you get a picture.

Hope this helps

Alex
